Follow up with IT Integration with English

Good News! Things are moving positively :)

Im having a date with Samantha on 21st May to dicuss furthur in regd to integrating IT with English @ Com Lab 3.

You are welcomed to join in. She did not inform me of the time. Just drop in to contribute your ideas.

Suggestion for IT Intergation with English

I had a chat with Samatha on integrating English with IT. She was intrested and was willing to try out like what the Chinese Department did for P6.9 pupils. Samantha intends to try it out for P5 pupils as they have another 6 months to record and correct their mistakes. As for the P6, she does not intend to try it out as it is going to be a rush for them and the teachers.

She intends to work it out in Term 3. I will have to discuss with her in regarding this after T2W10, when she is done with the P6 pupils.

IT Enrichment

• Video Production Workshop : Collect the cheques. Send reminder e-mails for the workshop. Guide Qizhen with the creation of Lesson Plan and Outline for the workshop.
• MS Word in MT - Conduct the lessons.
• P2 EP's : P2.1 & P2.2
• P1 EP: P1.8. P1.7 - Lessons cancelled as it clashes with the workshop MS Word in MT. 2 hrs lesson has been scheduled fpr P1.7 pupils on 26th June.
• P4 EP : Send out letters for P4 EP - Class 5, Class 6& Class 7 on 16th May.
• P5 EP - Sem 2 : Request the schedule from Carol. Liaise with Qizhen to finalise the classes she will handle for semester 2, so that she can have an oppurtunity to teach the P5 pupils.

IT Intergration with Social Studies
Discuss with Mdm Ramiah, in regd to intreating the discussion module in LEAD with social studies.

The following were finalised

• Prepare the time line for the project (By Mdm Ramiah)
• Brief Mrs Chua on the project (By Mdm Ramiah)
• Confirmed the Rubrics
• Confirmed the Questions (10 Qs.)
• Upload the Questions (By Linda, during the June holidays - b4 13th June)
• Train the teachers in regard to using the disucssion module (By Linda). To be held during T3,Wk 1. Date : To be confimed.
• Start Date of the project : T3,Wk 2 : 30th June. Conduct Discussion for all the 3 classes.
• End date of the project : September 12th
• Need to prepare the Personal Refelction for the pupils (Mdm Ramiah need to liaise with Anthony for the Refelction qs.). Pupils to do the personal reflection at the end of the project.

Next Meeting : Any date between 1st June - 10th June. Purpose : Mdm Ramiah would like to familiarise with the disucssion Module.
